Inspired by different genres of music (Sparkling Burgundy = Jazz), the 18-sided faceted body is produced from variegated resin and the metal grip section and cap ring are engraved with a treble clef and series of music notes. Only 200 of each mode/design were originally manufactured and they are very difficult to find new. Pen comes with all of its original packaging/paperwork. It’s a 2013 Cross Snake Rollerball pen, essentially a liquid ink pen. Unlike a fountain pen, you replace the refill, so there’s no trouble with nib wear and it’s easy to use. Cross, unlike Montblanc, Dunhill, or Parker, consistently releases special edition pens, which contributes to their popularity. Since this pen has been out for a while, I’ll include a spare refill.
