This Sheaffer Imperial color was in production from 1995 to 1996. Arguably, this color is the most desirable of the late Imperials produced. This fountain pen resin cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks, or repairs with the cap always securing to the barrel. The cap has the Gold Filled “Loss Proof” Spring-loaded Clip that displays the White Dot in perfect condition. The sides of the clip are stamped with, SHEAFFER U. There are no monograms or personalizations on either the cap or barrel. There is no brassing or wear to the cap clip or cap banding. This Sheaffer Model 2664 Imperial. Fountain Pen measures 5 1/2″ in length capped and 5 3/4″ posted. The filling system can use Sheaffer-style cartridges, or you can fill it with bottled ink via the Sheaffer proprietary ink converter which is included. The 23K gold electroplated Sheaffer Nib has an Extra-Fine point measuring roughly. 43mm when measuring with digital calipers. The back side of the section has the “X” gold stamp, which designated the nib to be extra-fine. This is a rare and authentic President Donald J. Trump VIP guest gift pen from 2017. The pen was used to thank guests who visited Camp David, the official Presidential retreat, during President Trump’s 1st term in office. It is well known that President Trump is an infrequent visitor to Camp David which makes these gift pens scarce as they were not often presented.
