Wirt was a pioneer famous for 19th-century eyedropper pens, their later 1920s lever-filling models were produced in much smaller quantities, making this a highly sought-after find for specialized vintage pen collectors. Product Details & Specifications. WirtMaterial: Black Chased Hard Rubber (Ebonite). Dimensions: Slim profile, measuring exactly 5 inches approx. Nib: Authentic Wirt 14K Gold Nib. Features a desirable semi-flexible feel with excellent springback. Notably features Wirt’s signature “unvented” design (no breather hole), relying on his proprietary feed system. Trim: Elegant, wide gold-filled cap band. This is a premium jeweler’s band featuring a classic vintage monogram letter engraving. Smooth, sleek “clipless” cap design as originally manufactured.
