A vintage PILOT Elite (short type) fountain pen from Japan, fitted with an 18K gold nib in the increasingly hard-to-find PO (POSTING) grind. [THE PO / POSTING NIB – THE HIGHLIGHT]. PO stands for POSTING – a specialist nib originally intended for ledger and record keeping. It is an extra-fine, firm nib that lays down a very thin, precise line with almost no flex, making it ideal for small handwriting, notebooks, planners and detailed work. PO is not part of the standard F / M / B lineup. Even today it is offered only on a small number of models, and finding one on a VINTAGE Elite in 18K gold is genuinely uncommon. A great pick for anyone who loves ultra-fine Japanese nibs. The Elite is a classic Japanese short-size pocket pen: compact when capped, and nicely balanced once the cap is posted on the back for writing. Functional, understated retro design. Unlike older lever or sac fillers, there is no perished rubber sac to worry about – just fit a PILOT cartridge or converter and go. Ink, cartridge and converter are NOT included.
