Vintage MONT BLANC 264 fountain pen with a 14k F- Fine point nib. It is flexy, as can be seen on the writing sample provided. The 264 is pretty rare to come by. What makes this particular pen even more attractive is the almost new condition and that it is a first generation, early 1950’s, 264. The early versions feature a ski-slope flat feed and no engravings on the gold cap ring, but on the cap side, while the later pens had the round feed and engraved cap rings. Also, the early versions had a yellowish/ ivory- colored snowflake, while the later ones were pure white. The barrel ink window is white, which they later changed to blue. These pens are very sought after among collectors. The montblanc snowflake is very thin and brittle and also often cracks and the black parts falls of. This pen has no cracks anywhere on it, nor any repaired cracks. The pen is in mint condition, as you can see on the pictures. It is a piston filler pen. The pen itself has been fully serviced, which included disassembly, thorough cleaning and all moving parts lubrication, thus the pistons operates smoothly. You can see the pen fully disassembled in one of the pictures. I have provided a writing sample using Pelikan 4001 black tint, in order to further describe the writing characteristics of the nib. The pen is guaranteed authentic.
MONTBLANC 344 BURGANDY FOUNTAIN PEN – RARE UNUSED MED 14kt 585 NIB Circa: 1950s. Hello everyone, if you’re shopping for a MB 344, then no need to look further! In one of those boxes was this very nice Montblanc 344, unused without a nib. On August 8, 2025 I was fortunate to have found a nib for the pen, making it whole. A rare find from this era. The pen is in excellent condition, there is some minor, almost undetectable microscratches from rattling around in the box, but the rest is pristine. I have upload the photos (see the last 3) to authenticate how this pen arrived to my home so that you are fully aware of its journey. Once the nib arrived, I assembled the pen, polished the exterior and applied some silicone grease to the piston and threads to assemble and make ready for your use. Type Vintage piston filler fountain pen. Product Name 344 (it’s imprinted on the cap band). This pen is considered a Montblanc oversize by comparison to others of that era. Filling System Piston filler, water tested and working well. The fill window is clear, except for some silicon grease/water from testing. Color Burgundy with gold plated trim. Nib Medium (M) FLEXIBLE, marked “M” on the piston knob. Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents or dings. This is a beautiful burgandy shiny pen in a classic design pattern. The cap and barrel show no wear. The cap band is intact with some microscratches, no bracing detected. The clip and clip band have some minor microscratches/brassing and plating wear. The Montblanc emblem on top of the cap looks good. All imprints, including the Montblanc imprint on the cap, are clear. If you need more photos or information, please reach out. MONTBLANC 334 1/2 Fountain Pen Circa: 1936-42 RARE MODEL. The Montblanc 334 1/2 is a true collectors item as Montblanc only made two 1/2 designated models, the 234 1/2 and the 334 1/2. This pen is also unique and rare in that after 1941, due to the war, it was no longer possible or permissible to produce gold nibs, hence the Montblanc Steel Nib marked 41/2. To compound things further, a British air raid on Hamberg in 1944 almost completely destroyed the Montblanc factory buildings, and production was not restarted until 1946, significantly limiting the overall number of 334 1/2 pens produced. NIB: Original steel nib size 4 1/2 Fine – engraved with “MONTBLANC” LOGO AND 41/2 WITHIN LOGO. FILLING: Twist mechanism cork piston filler. BARREL: Barrel made of black celluloid, clear amber ink window, barrel threads intact. CAP: Cap made of black celluloid, very good imprint Montblanc with the mountain logo on the cap, two gold cap bands.
