It is an original period Battle of the Planets collectible dating to 1979, when the series was first becoming a television phenomenon in the United States. What makes this example especially desirable is its remarkable state of preservation. The set appears to remain unused in its original factory shrink wrap, complete with the original components visible inside-including the four original colored felt-tip pens. Original Craft House / Sandy Frank markings. EXTREMELY SCARCE BATTLE OF THE PLANETS COLLECTIBLE. Unlike the more commonly encountered Battle of the Planets coloring books, comics and later merchandise, this particular Craft House #47901 Poster Pen Set is extremely difficult to find-especially complete and still sealed. The exact Poster Pen Set is documented by specialist Battle of the Planets collector references, yet examples appear very infrequently on the secondary market. Finding one that has apparently survived for nearly five decades still packaged with its original markers and artwork is particularly unusual. The colorful package features some of the most recognizable characters and imagery from the series, including Mark and the G-Force team, making it an outstanding display piece even without opening it.
