1 Safety Filler fountain pen from the early 1920s with it original montblanc nib size 1, This is a premium “Top Line” model featuring the rare octagonal (faceted) barrel and cap design rather than the standard round version. The Nib (Matching Component). Size & Hallmark: Features an original 14K Gold No. Engravings: The nib is clearly hallmarked with the arched “MONTBLANC” name, the number “1” inside the early logo frame, and the “14C” gold purity stamp. Design: Includes the classic heart-shaped breather hole and intact iridium tipping. The Body & Mechanism. The end of the turning knob is crisply stamped with. Indicating a size 1 Mini, This perfectly matches the No. Material: Crafted from Black Hard Rubber (BHR) with a deep, dark finish and minimal oxidation. Markings: The side of the cap features a visible “MONTBLANC” imprint. The top of the cap retains the early white circular Montblanc emblem. (Note : the cap for this pen is shorter than it’s original size, don’t know why). Mechanism: This is a retractable Safety Filler. The turning knob operates to extend and retract the nib smoothly. (please find the video). Aesthetics: Excellent vintage condition with sharp facets and clear imprints. Integrity: No visible cracks or major scratches. The cap threads securely. Rare vintage Mercedes safety fountain pen from Germany (Heidelberg), circa late 1920s-1930s. Made of black hard rubber (ebonite) with scripted “Mercedes” imprint on barrel and “15” model marking. Features a retractable safety mechanism that works excellently (nib extends/retracts smoothly). Equipped with original 14K gold flex nib engraved “Mercedes New York 14 Karat” – likely an export model for the US market. The nib is flexible, providing nice line variation (as shown in writing sample with ink). Pen has not been tested with ink long-term, but dry-tested and mechanism is fully functional. Some age-related wear on clip and trim (patina), no cracks or major damage. 12.3 cm capped. A scarce collector’s piece from a short-lived German brand that ceased in the 1950s. No box or papers. VERY GOOD CONDITION, FULLY SERVICED AND IN FULLY WORKING CONDITION. All parts are original. Every pen is cleaned and renovated. There is last testing before sending.
