In modern times, it has become a member of the LVMH Group and has a luxury boutique. However, it had a history of hardship from the 1960s to the 1990s. Montblanc’s position was precarious due to the rise of ballpoint pens, and from the 1960s to the 1980s, the company simplified the materials used and mass-produced them, resulting in a decline in quality. Old Montblanc products that are still being unearthed today have excellent writing feel. However, the quality of the resin is poor. They can suddenly crack. Many Meisterstuck pens are made of thick resin called precious resin and are in relatively good condition. There are variations on the pen clips, such as “GERMANY”, “W-GERMANY”, and “no description”, and it was only after the 1990s that serial numbers were engraved. If you doubt the authenticity of the item, try bringing it to a Montblanc boutique and asking them to adjust the writing feel. Fake pens will not be accepted. Vintage Serviced MONT BLANC 121 fountain pen with a 14k F- Fine Point nib. The nib has a little bit of flex. The pen is in near mint/ mint condition, as you can see on the pictures. There are no cracks visible anywhere on the pen.
