Rare Exact 1938 PELIKAN 100 All Black Fountain Pen FLEXY 14ct M nib M to BB. Disassembled, ultra sonic cleaned, new cork gasket installed and polished. Rare full black model with hard rubber cap and hard rubber bottom end. This is a nice Pelikan 100 which can be dated precisely to 1938, due to following facts. The change to the dark celluloid was from 1938 to 1940. Gold nibs were only available till May 16th of 1938. It has still cork gasket. Barrel has no deep scratches. Just 2 little marks to the hard rubber mechanic, see picture 7. Cap is fully hard rubber. It has no deep scratches and has the nice vintage look between pitch black and brownish. Nib is 14ct gold. 14CT EXTRA-FINE TIPPED FLEXIBLE NIB. Here, from my Collection, for your consideration. Eyedropper Filling, Fountain Pen.. Manufactured in The U. Around 1910, maybe earlier… I can find very little information on this very rare pen.. “I have never seen another like it”.. It came to me from. And I believe that, that is where it was manufactured. The condition is overall “Excellent”. The slightly “domed” push on Cap is in “excellent” condition.. The Cap has no cracks or breaks. It pushes on and posts nice and securely on to the Barrel. The “Extra Fine” tipped Flexible, 14Ct Nib is now, in great condition.. This rare and unusual Nib was sent to the renowned American Nib Master…. Please refer to Greg’s detailed close up photos.. The shape is perfect and the tines are well aligned… The nib writes very well.. A Super Fine to Broad line. There are no imprint marks on this Nib… But Greg garauntees it to be 14Ct. The Feed is in excellent condition.. The Barrel is in excellent condition… This is an “Eyedropper-Filler” Fountain Pen… The Section is unscrewed from the Barrel and Ink is directly dropped in to the Barrel. A little “silicone grease” can be put on the threads to make sure there are no leaks when filled and in use. This beautiful, “ultra rare”, eyedropper-filling. Ideal as a great addition to a collection… The pen has been Fully-Serviced, and finally, given a light polish with Renaissance Wax. Pen Size – 13.1 cm capped and 17 cm posted.
