RARE KAWECO TRANSPARENT 475 FOUNTAIN PEN. Kaweco Ber Contra steel EF (extra fine). Black resin, gold plated trim. Kaweco Transparent 475 and EF on the body. Excellent vintage and rare Kaweco fountain pen. Model 475 fitted with rare solid steel ber-contra nib. The ber-contra is the name Kaweco gave to their steel nibs. This is tempered steel with decent flexibility and these nibs are considered to be great writers. Also such nibs are more difficult to damage even if the pen falls directly on the nib, so they were mainly marketed at the student population.
