This is a Nakatani Briar fountain pen, which is no longer in production. The beautiful dark briar barrel is impressive, and there are no two pens with the same grain, and you can feel the comfortable texture and warmth that only wood can provide. The 14K nib is a medium-soft (SM) nib from the Nakatani era, which is no longer in production. It is well-balanced, has just the right amount of elasticity, and is comfortable to write with. Medium-soft nibs are very popular and have a good reputation. It has a snap-on cap, so it is easy to remove and attach the cap, which is a nice feature. Since it is a used item, there are some signs of use, such as very thin scratches on the plating when wiped with a cloth, and scratches on the nib of the neck when removing and attaching the cap. There are no deep scratches or noticeable stains. There is no box, but a platinum converter is included, so you can use it immediately if you have ink. If that, please let us know within 3 days you got the item.

This is a Platinum #3776 vintage 14k gold nibbed pen with an ebonite feed. The feed has fins so it is post second run of pen. It appears to be a particularly rare transitional version with an ebonite feed and the flat top nib style between the second and 3rd generation 3776 style pens. The nib has two imprints 20 on the front and 1089 on the back. This supports the pens origin being in late 1989. It does not have a slip and seal cap since it is the Platinum #3776 and not the Platinum #3776 Century. This is a pre Century version of the 3776. It is labeled in Japanese as medium so it equivalent to a western fine nib. The nib has the platinum signature feedback and is bouncy so it may be a soft medium. It is an absolute delight to write with. It has been dip tested and there may be residual waterman serenity blue. Does not come with a converter.
