RARE Parker Falcon Fountain Pen Set Finished in Brown Lacquer and ballpoint. This set includes a pair of a fountain pen and a ballpoint. Parker Falcon Fountain Pen and Ball Pen Set. The set was made in the USA around 1980. FP: Cartridge or Converter (Optional), BP: Standard Parker refills. The Parker Falcon (also known as the Parker 50) was introduced in 1979 and was a development of the earlier T1 model which featured a titanium body. The T1 failed because of the high production costs but the Falcon was made from more conventional materials and was an immediate success. The unitary nib from the T1 was retained and the pen’s looks brought it wide acclaim. It also wrote like a dream and the pens were considered to be solidly built. Despite their success these pens were not produced for very long and are now quite difficult to find. Over the year the gold plated get faded I can see very little dots on the trim very hard to pay attention. This is normal for vintage items.
