Montblanc 262 fountain pen from 1957 very rare KM special nib rare
Montblanc 262 fountain pen from 1957 very rare KM special nib rare. Size: 4,84 inches. Nib: 14 K gold nib in KM size. Condition: near mint till mint condition. In 1954 Montblanc replaced the old 240 series by the 250 models. The 250 models were offered in three sizes 252, 254 and 256. If you know the 250 models with the slip on cap you will remember that this models often have broken caps. Very special on this pen is, that it is the 262, based on the 250ties models, but fit with a special nib and special cap band. This pen has a slip-on rounded shape cap with only one band thats engrvaed with a V. Thats german and means that it is a special nib that writes similar to a ballpoint, but with the advantages of a fountain pen. The clip of this modell has a rounded form, that was an innovation of that time. This pen has got the modelnumber engraving on its blind cap and the nibsize is engraved on the turning knob. The inkview is absolute clear. The nibsize will be KM. The cap is fit with a advertise engraving. The pen is used, but in a near mint and working condition. A very nice pen for a collection or to write with. And very interesting because of its very rare V nib.
