M ontblanc Meisterstück 146 with Rare Kugel nib 1950’s Vintage. This is an early model of Montblanc’s standard fountain pen, the 146. Compared to the current model, the body is made of celluloid. The piston is telescopic. The nib is thin and flexible. The total length is slightly shorter. The telescopic piston unit is made almost entirely of metal parts, making it heavier than the current model. Kugel(KM) nibs were used in Montblanc fountain pens from the 1950s to the 1960s and are characterized by their soft and supple writing feel. They allow you to easily vary the thickness of the line depending on the pressure you apply, expanding the range of expression when writing. [Telescope piston filling method]. This method is basically the same as the piston filling method, but in the case of a telescope, the cork seal part shaft is two-stage. It retracts like a telescope, allowing more ink to be drawn in.
