Up for sale is PELIKAN 140 rare dark blue color fountain pen. This pen was made in GERMANY dates back to the 50’s. On cap ring inscribed: PELIKAN 140 GERMANY. On barrel end inscribed: PELIKAN 140 GUNTHER WAGNER GERMANY. The pen is so well preserved that I would sell it as NOS, but it wasn’t bought from a store. The piston seal is so white and clean that it seems like it was never filled with ink (see photo). It can fit as a valuable. Addition and would grace any collection, and is a quality pen that will perfectly function. As a daily writer. The model 140 is probably the most famous Pelikan pen, and it’s one of the most sought after Pelikan pens, extremely reliable and perfect writer for all kinds of uses. The pen combines a lot of features available in the upper class pens, but with extreme reliability and stunning vintage appeal and form factor. It features the original 1950’s nib with the signature Pelikan nib curvature which gives it a very nice viewing space while writing. The 14ct gold nib is double holed one. These double holed nibs are hard to find and were made to ensure a good, rich and constant ink flow with no skipping. The nib is smooth, gliding on the paper, very precise, it’s suspended over the original ebonite feed. Beautiful bright-green clean clear ink window to show ink capacity. All metal parts are gold filled. Very clean body, with crisp shiny burgundy color. Superb writer and a reliable everyday pen, timeless design, classic form factor, a stunning looks and perfect writing instrument that will last for decades, a true generational pen. One of the most beautiful and rarest. Model, the dark blue model which was manufactured only briefly and it was mainly designated for. This is really a very rare pen because it’s dark blue color and the mint condition. Poor, good, very good, excellent, mint/new. No issues or imperfections. ROLLED GOLD CAPS, CLIPS & TRIMS. THE GOLDEN TRIMS HAVE NO SIGNS OF RUINOUS OXIDATION OR RUST. The pen has all its original parts. It has the original imprint in very good readable condition.
