RARE PILOT Custom LEGANCE 14K Double Nib Bundle Fountain Pen. 5 Fine (B1096) & 14K No. Filling mechanism: Converter or Cartridge (Pilot Proprietary Converter & Cartridge). Size: 135.1 mm (From the Cap) and 117.7 mm (From the Nib). A series that aimed for a writing touch that was better suited to the Japanese, among whom the tendency to press down heavily on the paper had generally become the norm due to the widespread use of ballpoint pens. Prepared for soft writing based on a heavy-handed writing style, the CUSTOM74 Series achieved a smooth writing touch. There were eight types of nib at the time of its launch, to which three more were added six years later in 1998, plus three more for the current 11 types. #5 PILOT 14K GOLD NIB WRITING EXPERIENCE. The Pilot Custom 74 Nib 14K gold is a great writing tool. The fine nib produces a clean and crisp line, perfect for everyday writing tasks, note-taking, and even drawing. The 14K gold nib provides a smooth writing experience, with just the right amount of feedback to ensure precision and control. We have found this absolute beauty of a pen at a second-hand market and what caught our attention was how good of a condition this pen is in despite it being made in around 96. The body is made out of acrylics which are often looked at as a cheap material for pens, and to a certain extent is true, but my goodness does this make the Custom 74 body look a thousand times better than the standard colors? The nib has B1096 engraved on it, indicating it was made in October 1996. When we bought the pen, it had a slight flaw in the original section. The housing for the nib was protruding outside of the section, which looked like the previous owner had just jammed it in. Therefore we took another Custom 74 section that we had available here and will be adding that to the pen as a bundle. It is a used section from a pre-loved pen, and we’ll also be including a like-new, ink-tested Pilot No. 5 Medium nib into the mix as a bonus for the bundle. The original section has some differences from the slightly modern section, or perhaps this is just what the LE section looks like. Either way, they both fit perfectly and can be interchangeable. The original nib fitted into the exchanged section, there is some ink residue which might be very cleanable. The original nib fitted with the original section (protruding housing). There are no cracks or dents in the acrylic body, just slight shallow scratches, and wear here and there due to its age. The clip and trim also have some scratches, please excuse minor flaws since this is a pre-loved pen. From what we can tell, the previous owner has used this pen with care, reflected in the body that is in almost perfect shape. The rare Meisterstuck of 1960s. Very beautiful design as photos. The words Meisterstück (masterpiece) were engraved on the cap. You can use your favorite ink by its piston system. Beautiful yellow ink window as Meisterstuck. Very rare green colored barrels. Pre owned and well maintained. Perfectly washed as described below. A hard clear plastic case for protection during transportation. Finishing of Used Products. In order to remove the old ink, it is soaked in lukewarm water containing ascorbic acid overnight to check for any abnormalities. Clean with an ultrasonic cleaner and a dropper until there is no ink remaining. Use a magnifying glass to check the condition of the nib and missing parts. Thank you for your understanding. Our thoughts on the Classic Montblanc. Montblanc, synonymous with fountain pens, has a long and varied history. In modern times, it has become a member of the LVMH Group and has a luxury boutique. However, it had a history of hardship from the 1960s to the 1990s. Montblanc’s position was precarious due to the rise of ballpoint pens, and from the 1960s to the 1980s, the company simplified the materials used and mass-produced them, resulting in a decline in quality. Old Montblanc products that are still being unearthed today have excellent writing feel. However, the quality of the resin is poor. They can suddenly crack. Many Meisterstuck pens are made of thick resin called precious resin and are in relatively good condition. There are variations on the pen clips, such as “GERMANY”, “W-GERMANY”, and “no description”, and it was only after the 1990s that serial numbers were engraved. If you doubt the authenticity of the item, try bringing it to a Montblanc boutique and asking them to adjust the writing feel. Fake pens will not be accepted. However, pens that have been used for half a century still retain the writing habits of their previous owners. Vintage MONT BLANC Turbo brushed steel finish fountain pen with a steel F- Fine Point nib. This was a school pen in the 1970’s and has become a rare find, especially in condition like this one. The pen is in MINT condition, as you can see on the pictures. The pen comes with it’s original box. It also still has the factory nib size sticker, although it is severely damaged. Only usage marks I noticed is the ring on the grip section has a bit of erosion. Other than this, there are no dings, or cracks anywhere. The pen is guaranteed authentic.

GREEN STRIATED Pelikan 400NN fountain pen. The nib is crafted from 14k 585 gold and is a DEF- Hard Extra Fine. These are nibs are characterized by 2 holes on them and their tips are meant to be used for writing on carbon copies, which is why they are very hard and have no flex. The pen is in near mint condition, as you can see on the pictures. There are no cracks anywhere on the pen and the nib collar also isn’t cracked. The nib writes well and the pen has received a full service, which included full disassembly, thorough cleaning and lubrication of moving parts with silicone. I have provided a writing sample using Pelikan 4001 blue tint, in order to further describe the writing characteristics of the nib. The pen is guaranteed authentic.
