This is a pre-owned fountain pen. There are visible signs of use such as scratches and stains, but it is still in usable condition. Rare Unusual 1950’s Esterbrook LJ Fountain Pen, Thin Striped Red, 2668 Nib, Med
Rare/Unusual Vintage Esterbrook LJ Fountain Pen. Rare “Thin Striped Red” model. Esterbrook 2668 Nib, for Medium Firm Writing. This listing is for an Esterbrook LJ model fountain pen in the desirable “Thin Striped Red” pattern. Note: The subtle vertical thin striped pattern on this pen is not common and different than the pinstripe or icicle models(see pictures). The lever is also different and the imprint is in a somewhat different location than most models(see pictures). It is referred to as the LJ pen because it was the longer slender size model. It has an Esterbrook No. 2668 stainless steel nib for Medium Firm writing, perfect for creating precise lines with your favorite inks. Note: What’s nice about Esterbrook pens is that the nib/feed units are interchangeable. They can be easily screwed and unscrewed to clean or use with whatever style of Esterbrook nib you have. There is an Esterbrook nib chart that outlines the numerous Esterbrook nib styles that have been made. The overall condition is “Excellent” with no cracks(see pictures). The barrel is clean with no flaws. Note: The lever has some brassing to the top(it is a different lever type than other esterbrook models, see pictures). The imprint is also in a somewhat different location as well(see pictures). There are some mild use wear marks on the side of the cap(see the last picture). Lever in good working condition. 2002 ANCORA VESUVIO RED. LIMITED EDITION 73/88 FOUNTAIN PEN MEDIUM 18K GOLD NIB. Never Used / Never Inked. New Old Stock (NOS). This item has never been used and was made some time ago but has remained in storage and is in brand-new condition. Some were previously display items. Due to long-term storage, NOS items may show signs of aging, or patina, or barely visible surface micro-scratches, but they are essentially new and unused. The Ancora Vesuvio Red Limited Edition Series is a collection of high-end fountain pens dedicated to the mysterious and dangerous Mount Vesuvius. Known for its catastrophic eruption in AD 79, which buried the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum under ash and debris, Mount Vesuvius has etched its place in history.
