Here I have a Vintage Watermans 42 eyedropper safety pen with a #2 14k Fine Flex nib going from and fine point to a full 1.7mm of flex! This nib is wonderful and looks beautiful, so if I was a collector I would definitely want this to be in my collection. The black hard rubber is amazing, some the best I’ve ever seen. I filled it up with ink and wrote the writing sample and it seemed to work well enough. It does say 42 on the bottom of the pen the writing is clear. I’m no Vintage pen expert, so I do not know how old this pen would be, but it seems to be 1900’s or 1910’s because it says 1899 and 1903 on the pen. The 14k nib is a fine under light pressure, it is not scratchy, but it does have feedback due to the fine point. And using the pen may require some practice. The nib also flexes with ease to 1.7mm making it a triple broad “BBB” , to me it is very flexible, the flow is good for flex writing.
