Onoto 5600 Silver Hatch Celluloid Fountain Pen 1930s. 14C M Full Flex Nib. Just been serviced by an Onoto recommended Service technician. Plunger Piston filler works as when New. Made in London, England 1930s. This beautiful pen is in fabulous original condition with ZERO cracks, splits or repairs etc. The Silver Hatch Celluloid pattern is the same as the 1st issue Magna Silver Hatch from 1937. These 5600 pens are like a Magna JR. Shorter and Slimmer than the Magna but just as handsome. The unique pattern is created by adding Silver and Black Candy Stripe pieces to a see through Amber Celluloid. Making it look like Boheme Glass or hard Toffee Candy good enough to eat. Thankfully no one has been tempted to take a nibble as this pen is Dent and Bite mark free. What looks like solid Green/Amber background to the silver flashes is actually transparent see through Celluloid. So you can see your ink reserve inside the pen etc. The Cap is also see through. The Blind Cap (Tail End Plunger etc) is made of BHR (Black Hard Rubber). The Front Section (part you hold when writing) and Caps top Section above the Clip are also made of BHR. The Clip is Yellow Gold plated. This pens Cap is RARE in that it has no Gold Rings. Very handsome pen indeed. Overall once in the hand to the naked eye looks fantastic. As good an example as you will ever see. The item “Onoto 5600 Silver Hatch Celluloid Fountain Pen 1930s. 14C M Full Flex Nib. Rare” is in sale since Sunday, August 8, 2021.
