This is one of the most beautiful pens Namiki has made in the Yukari size. Despite the size, the brass barrel provides weight and density so this pen is comfortable in small or large hands. Yozakura means Cherry Blossoms at Night, and the raden is pieces of iridescent Abalone shell. This rare version of a Namiki Yukari features a rare raden process: Warigai, or cracked raden. The flower petals are cracked into several sections after they are on the pen, which gives them the ability to reflect more colors, the result being more visual texture and beauty. See the video link below for a detailed explanation of what makes this pen so beautiful. Another special element is that the artist is Yumi Hayashi, the first woman maki-e master hired by Namiki. Nib is a two tone 18-karat No. 10 with an image of Mount Fuji. Ink is held in a Con-70 cartridge converter which is included. Like all Yukari pens, it comes in a beautiful wood box with an ink bottle and outer protective box. Please message me if you have any questions.
