The Ancora Vesuvio Red Limited Edition Series is a collection of high-end fountain pens dedicated to the mysterious and dangerous Mount Vesuvius. Known for its catastrophic eruption in AD 79, which buried the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum under ash and debris, Mount Vesuvius has etched its place in history. This eruption ejected stones, ashes, and volcanic gases 20.5 miles into the atmosphere, resulting in the tragic loss of over 1,000 lives. The Vesuvio pen, crafted by the skilled Ancora Masters, incorporates fragments of the volcano’s lava. These pens feature an iridescent red resin body with gold-plated sterling silver trim. The cap is adorned with a lava stone, crowned with plated gold, and the medium 18K gold nib adds a touch of luxury. The barrel has 18K gold plating over sterling silver trim, marked “925”. The top of the cap showcases a certified polished Mt. Vesuvius lava stone, topped with a polished natural semi-precious genuine Granato stone as the finial. This large Ancora fountain pen measures 6 1/8 inches in length when capped, 7 1/4 inches when posted, and has a diameter of 17.5mm at its widest point.
