Marlen Città Antiche (Ancient Cities) Paestum ballpoint Pen (Rare) New
Rare Marlen Città Antiche (Ancient Cities) Paestum ballpoint pen – new & unused! Part of the “Old Cities” special edition pens that were created to celebrate ancient Italian cities. This pen was part of the first series that was dedicated to the ancient cities of Campania: Caserta – Herculaneum – Paestum – Pompeii. The Paestum collection is characterized by a specially designed silver clip that replicates the splendor of the ancient marble columns. The cap and the barrel of these writing instruments are handmade from a solid bar of brown/amber-like Italian resin. The large ring on the barrel reproduces the Temple of Neptune. The ring on the cap shows the (presumed) foundation dates of this city. On the top of the cap is a lava stone. If I’m not mistaken, I believe the trim is sterling silver. It’s not the refill that came with the pen; the first thing I do when I get a new ballpoint pen is replace whatever refill is in it with a Uni SXR-600 Jetstream black XF (0.38mm) ballpoint refill made by The Mitsubishi Pencil Co, and I have NO idea what refill was in this pen originally, so I’ll install a Uni SXR-600 Jetstream black FINE point (0.5mm) in it.
