Antique MABIE TODD SWAN Chatelaine Fountain Pen w/Orig. Case; 14K Nib; Rare Find. This is a particularly nice early gold case Swan fountain pen with the original case with makers name on it. The pen is a lever style pen with no tension on the lever. The pens itself has a top look for use with a chatelaine. The nib is marked Mabie Todd & Co and is not marked for gold contact but tests as at least 14K gold. The pen is 3-3/8″ closed and when opened is 4-1/8″ to the nib. The case is not marked for gold content (as far as I can see) but is marked SWAN PENN MABIE TODD & CO NEW YORK MADE IN USA. The case indicates SWAN FOUNT-PEN and fits the pens like a glove as it is the original. Great opportunity to own a rare find in a fountain pen.
