Waterman New York FDW 54 BCHR & 2x Solid Gold Ring Bands Fountain Pen 1919. 14K F Full Flex Nib. Just serviced with New Ink Sac. Works and Writes as when new. Pen has zero Cracks etc. Made in New York, USA. Once at the London Workshop it was fitted with its 2x solid Gold Ring Bands. Fully Hallmarked at the London Assay office in 1920 (e = date letter 1920). Very early for an FDW. Has early Barrel Imprints and original New York 4 Nib. The pen is made of BCHR (Black Chassed Hard Rubber). Very rare to find so clean. Still has wonderful Black colour. The model 54 is similar in size to a model 52 except the 54 has a much larger size 4 nib compared to the size 2 nib of the 52. The Ideal Lever is in AMAZING Condition with zero Gold Plate loss or Brassing etc. Very rare to find so perfect lever that is 100 years old. This pen has always been looked after and never abused.
