Lily of the valley is a small, white, delicate flower that sways in the breeze between the fresh, green leaves at the foot of a blue sky. In English, it is called “lily of the valley” and in French, tears of the Virgin Mary. Its scent is considered one of the three most fragrant flowers along with roses and jasmine. Because lily of the valley is a flower that heralds the arrival of spring, its flower language is said to be “the return of happiness” or the arrival of happiness. It has pure white flowers, a modest and neat appearance, and a refreshing fragrance. Therefore, its flower language also includes “unconscious beauty, ” “chastity, ” “purity, ” and pure love.
