Make/Model: Carter’s Inx Fountain Pen. Nib: Large (looks like a #7 size nib – best guess), Semiflex, see video. Condition: No Cracks or condition issues. Restored with new sac. Slight Brassing on Clip. On top of cap, but easily buffed out.. I did not go crazy polishing pen, just let it alone. Notes: Rare Carter’s Pen.

This is a rare collectible Carter’s fountain pen made circa 1928 in a marble green celluloid material, 14K Superwear Nib, and gold trim ring and clip. Company inscription on barrel. Carter’s fountain pens are in limited quantity as Carter’s made pens for only a few years before closing shop. In almost mint condition.

RARE 1920´s CARTER´s 5233 Blue Marbled Fountain Pen M Nib F to BB. Recently disassmbled, cleaned, new ink sac installed and polished. Very rare to come by Carter´s pens these days! Here some of the company history. In the mid of’20s they entered the fountain pen market, that at the time was in its full development. But after the great depression of 1929, which caused a sharp reduction in the fountain pen market, the company decided to stop producing pens and mechanical pencils in the early 30’s. The pens produced by Carter. Were excellent quality, and they made in unusual colors much different than those of it competitors of that time. Because the short period of activity of the company, its pens are quite rare and quite sought by the collectors. Barrel has no deep scratches. Original engraving faded very little, see picture 4. Original model code engraved on bottom of pen “5233”. Cap has no deep scratches. Nib type M with medium flex, writes lines F through M to BB, see sample. Total length 11.4 cm, when cap closed.
