Montegrappa Two Roses Lancaster 925 Sterling Silver Fountain Pen. In 1994 Montegrappa dedicated the two roses collection to two important British families, the Yorks and the Lancasters. A red and white rose decorated the coats of arms of the Yorks and of the Lancasters, both descendants of the royal house of the Plantagenets. This annual edition of 1994, the Lancaster, is represented by a beautiful fountain pen made of sterling silver with a floral and heraldic themed decoration. The idea to use two different shapes, octagonal for the annual collection dedicated to the Yorks and cylindrical for the fountain pen of the Lancaster dynasty, reflects the borderline that divided the two families. Features an 18k gold nib, Medium in size. This gorgeous fine writing instrument is in brand new/unused vault kept condition and comes complete with original box/booklet. A rare limited edition The Alchemist fountain pen by Montegrappa. This one has never been used perfect condition throughout complete with all its boxes and papers. Rare limited edition limited to just 450 units ever made and this one is number 021 / 400. The pen is made from black resin and sterling 925 silver. At the top of the pen it reads Montegrappa and around the centre of the pen has its silver hallmarks , and at the end of the pen is the limited edition number. The pens cap is screw on and the pen is a piston filler so will require a ink bottle to fill. The pens nib is made from 18K gold and is a M= medium in size. The pen comes with a large oak wooden montegrappa presentation case with card outer box and material pen pouch and certificate of authenticity. Very rare 1995 limited edition sterling silver “Dragon” made by Montegrappa Italy. A stunning creation for pen collectors. The impressive fountain pen is made of solid sterling silver cast over dark grey and marbleised celluloid. A fantastic vivid dragon wraps around the cap and another wraps around the barrel. Genuine rubies set for the eyes of the fiery dragons. The “Dragon” creation was to commemorate Montegrappha’s 1912 establishment. This pen was made in 1995 and it is limited edition #1290/1912. The limited edition number is hand printed and personally signed on the Certificate of Authenticity. The number is also on a metal plate on the end of the barrel.
